Functional Integration Automated Parking

BMW is at the forefront of developing automated driving vehicles, and our BMW Automated Driving Team China is central to this innovation. We seek skilled and versatile engineers and project managers to join our team and focus on integrating Automated Parking functions.

Position Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for the functional integration of Automated Parking functions within China. You will act as the primary liaison with the function responsible team in Germany, ensuring seamless integration and deployment of these functions in the Chinese market. Your focus will be on continuously integrating China-specific elements into the global function base through every development cycle.

Major Responsibilities

• Integration and Deployment: Integrate vehicle onboard software for automated driving into real-world testing vehicles and virtual testing facilities. This includes preparing and deploying software releases, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring a testable system in each development iteration.
• System Assessment: Evaluate the maturity and performance of the integrated Automated Driving (AD) system, enabling data-driven development approaches for assessment.
• Project Reporting: Report project status, escalate problems, and provide updates on progress.
• Defect Analysis: Analyze system defects to identify root causes and guide fixes.
• Market Rollout: Oversee the rollout of the target product in the Chinese market.

Qualifications

• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of Automated Driving/Parking system effect chains and the working principles of major components.
• Software Development: Substantial knowledge and experience in modern software development for embedded or backend systems, primarily using C++ and partially Python.
• Project Management: Experience in Automated Driving/Parking function development and technical project management.
• Software Processes: Familiarity with project lifecycles and software processes, including requirement analysis, system design/architecture, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
• Big Data Systems: Experience with distributed, big data systems targeting automated driving applications.
• Dynamic Environment: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
