- Problem Solving and Analysis: Lead problem-solving efforts related to the charging function, including support for failure analysis before and after processes.
- Central Interface: Act as the main contact for component and integration level issues.
- Documentation and Support: Manage documentation and problem-solving systems, support function development according to integration planning and bug-fix processes.
- Timing and Validation: Prepare and monitor timing plans and validation schedules, interpret and assess development progress and test results from suppliers, and take corrective actions if needed.
- Function Integration: Manage function integration from subcomponent to vehicle level, coordinating with process partners.
- Change Management: Oversee software and E/E change validations, ensuring all relevant documents are prepared and updated.
- Testing Strategy: Define test and validation strategies for software and E/E components and review test reports.
- Innovation Support: Support current and future innovations with suppliers, including timeline management, documentation, and reporting.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English; additional proficiency in German is a plus.
- Technical Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of Electric Powertrain properties, communication interfaces, and software structure.
- Project Management: Experience in project management within hybrid/electrification environments, ideally with high-voltage (HV) components and E/E systems.
- Development Process: In-depth understanding of functional development processes and implementation.
- Tools and Standards: Familiarity with BMW problem management tools, AUTOSAR, MATLAB/Simulink, CAN communication/calibration tools, and safety standards (ISO26262, GB/T 34590, ISO6469) and EMC standards (CISPR22, CISPR25, ISO7637).
- Process Knowledge: Experience with component function development, simulation, calibration, and/or testing, particularly for HV components in electrical powertrains.
- Skills: Strategic and analytical thinking, fast reaction to changes, problem-solving ability, assertiveness, initiative, flexibility, and intercultural competence.
