The Children’s Medical Center Research Institute (CRI) at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, is seeking exceptional candidates for tenure-track faculty positions in metabolism research. We welcome applications from outstanding investigators at any rank.

Candidates must possess a Ph.D., M.D., or an equivalent degree and demonstrate the ability to lead an independently-funded research program. Areas of interest include the role of cellular metabolism in human diseases and other processes such as development, immune function, cancer, and other metabolic-related conditions. We are particularly interested in research that explores the mechanistic links between genetics, gene expression, and metabolism.

About the Genetic and Metabolic Disease Program (GMDP)

Successful candidates will join the Genetic and Metabolic Disease Program (GMDP) at CRI, under the leadership of Dr. Ralph DeBerardinis. The GMDP offers:

  • A robust environment dedicated to understanding the genetic and metabolic basis of human disease.
  • Integration with clinical programs at Children’s Medical Center, providing unparalleled opportunities for gene discovery, translational research, and therapeutic trials.
  • Access to a state-of-the-art mass spectrometry facility, specializing in metabolomics and isotope tracing.
