The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, specifically within the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology Oncology, is seeking highly qualified faculty members for the role of Oncology Hospitalist. This role is integral to expanding our oncology hospitalist program and offers a rotating schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off.
Position Details
Role: Oncology Hospitalist
Location: Dallas, TX
Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off rotating
Qualifications:
- M.D. degree or equivalent from an LCME-accredited medical school.
- Completion of an Internal Medicine residency program from an ACGME-accredited program.
- Eligible for Texas medical licensure.
- Board-eligible or certified in Internal Medicine.
- Recent experience and a focused interest in inpatient oncology care and oncologic complications, including immunotherapy.
- Board eligibility in Medical Oncology is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical care to inpatient oncology patients.
- Participate in the teaching and training of medical students, house staff, and fellows.
