The University of California, Riverside (UCR) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position specializing in Metabolomics of Adaptive Responses. This is a unique opportunity to join a leading research institution and contribute to pioneering work in cellular and physiological adaptive responses, plant metabolism, and nutrition.
Position Overview: The role will involve teaching biochemistry, metabolomics, and potentially developing a course for a master’s program in metabolomics. The candidate will join the Department of Botany and Plant Sciences and contribute to UCR’s strengths in metabolomics, including microbiomes, eco-metabolomics, and quantitative metabolomic imaging.
Qualifications:
- Basic Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in analytical disciplines relevant to metabolomics.
- Minimum 3 years of Postdoctoral experience.
- High-quality, peer-reviewed publications.
- Potential to secure extramural funding.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in developing/applying metabolomics tools such as LC-MS/MS, MS imaging, and NMR-based metabolomics.
