Description
The Catalyst Business Analyst role at Stanford Medicine Catalyst is integral to the Operations & Discovery team, supporting groundbreaking innovations in global health and biomedicine. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work onsite 2-3 days a week in Redwood City and/or Palo Alto.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate business development for translational projects, develop business models, and lead strategic partnerships.
- Assist in the Catalyst Evaluation process, conducting due diligence, market analysis, and competitive analysis.
- Review business plans, IT systems, and data analysis for alignment with Stanford University.
- Provide insights during Catalyst project evaluations and discussions with Stanford Medicine leaders.
- Represent the program within Stanford and to external stakeholders.
- Manage outreach strategies and collaborate with the Stanford Medicine Communications team.
- Support current cohort projects with competitive analysis and business plan formation.
- Maintain and update the Catalyst program's website.
Desired Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Strong technical and quantitative skills, with experience in complex analysis.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, MS Office, Airtable, Smartsheets, Mural, Lucidchart, Tableau, and Illustrator is a plus.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM software, and project/program management.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Primarily desk-based computer tasks, with occasional standing, walking, and use of a telephone.
Work Standards:
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to safety. Must comply with all applicable university policies and procedures.
