Dr. Naizhou Wang has long been dedicated to exploring exotic quantum states in low-dimensional materials. By combining material discovery with property measurements, he has achieved significant research outcomes in the fields of topological states, high-temperature superconductivity, and two-dimensional magnetism. Our research group focuses on investigating exotic quantum states in two-dimensional materials and moiré superlattices under extreme conditions (such as ultra-low temperatures, strong magnetic fields, and high pressures) using techniques like microscopic spectroscopy and electrical transport measurements. Based on these studies, the group aims to explore and develop corresponding prototype quantum devices.

Job Description

Position: Postdoctoral Fellow (2 openings)

Candidates should possess the ability to independently conduct research focused on the fabrication of quantum devices based on magnetic topological insulators and two-dimensional semiconductors, as well as microscopic spectroscopy and transport measurements under extreme conditions. Additionally, candidates are expected to participate in laboratory development and management and to assist and mentor Ph.D. students.

Requirements:

(1)?? ?Under 35 years old; Must have obtained or be about to obtain a Ph.D. in physics, materials science, electronic engineering, or a related field.

(2)?? Demonstrates a strong commitment to scientific research, with a responsible work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team.

(3)?? Possesses good English communication skills and can independently write scientific papers in English.

(4)? Candidates with the following experimental skills will be given priority:

a. Fabrication and micro/nano-processing of two-dimensional materials.

b. Optical system setup.

c. Low-temperature transport measurements.

Funding

1. Postdocs receive a living allowance and research funding from the Hangzhou municipal government.

2. Recipients of funding from the China Postdoctoral Science?Foundation or the Zhejiang Province Selected Funding for Postdoctoral Research Projects are entitled to supplementary funding of the same amount from the Hangzhou municipal government.

3. Postdocs who work full-time in Hangzhou after completing their postdoctoral research qualify for an allowance of 400,000 RMB from the Hangzhou municipal government.

4. Eligible new university graduates holding a doctoral degree or equivalent who work full time in Hangzhou (including those who studied abroad and returned to China within 5 years of graduation as well as foreign talent) can apply to the Hangzhou municipal government for a living allowance of 100,000 RMB.

5. Postdocs recognized as high-level talent in Hangzhou enjoy corresponding preferential policies.
