Description
Dr. Wei Wang's research focuses on the integration of circuits with micro/nanoscale actuators to develop intelligent microrobotics.
The specific research directions include:
- Manufacturing and Circuit Design for Intelligent Micro-Robots: This involves designing integrated circuits applicable to micro-robots, utilizing micro/nano fabrication technologies like photolithography to integrate circuits with micro-actuators, and creating walking micro-robots and intelligent microfluidic structures.
- Research and Fabrication of New Micro-Actuators: This involves exploring new types of micro-actuators, studying the principles of actuator operation, and developing microstructures with specific functions that integrate with circuits.
- Mechanical Behavior of Micro/Nano Structures: This includes using origami techniques to create 3D micro/nano structures, studying the collective behavior of micro/nano robots, and researching the fluid mechanics of micro/nano structures, such as fluid-structure interactions in artificial cilia.
Job Description
Position: Postdoctoral Fellow (4)
Requirements:
- A background in electronics, mechanics, materials science, physics, chemistry, or related fields.
- Ability to independently conduct research projects and publish high-quality academic papers.
Other Requirements:
- Hold or expect to hold a Ph.D. degree by the start date; aged under 35.
- Able to effectively communicate with team members, demonstrate mutual respect, and collaborate harmoniously.
- Assist the PI in jointly supervising research projects and experimental work within the group.

Funding
- Postdocs receive a living allowance and research funding from the Hangzhou municipal government.
- Recipients of funding from the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation or the Zhejiang Province Selected Funding for Postdoctoral Research Projects are entitled to supplementary funding of the same amount from the Hangzhou municipal government.
- Postdocs who work full-time in Hangzhou after completing their postdoctoral research qualify for an allowance of 400,000 RMB from the Hangzhou municipal government.
- Eligible new university graduates holding a doctoral degree or equivalent who work full-time in Hangzhou (including those who studied abroad and returned to China within five years of graduation, as well as foreign talent) can apply to the Hangzhou municipal government for a living allowance of 100,000 RMB.
- Postdocs recognized as high-level talent in Hangzhou enjoy corresponding preferential policies.
