The Department of Biology at UNC Chapel Hill (https://bio.unc.edu/) invites applications for three tenure-track Assistant Professor positions focused on critical areas in Plant Molecular Biology and Plant Evolutionary Genomics.

Plant Molecular Biology (2 Positions)
View Job Posting: We seek candidates who explore molecular mechanisms that reveal essential aspects of plant biology. Ideal applicants will utilize transdisciplinary methods, integrating genetics, molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, and omics approaches. Research that leverages model systems or contributes to sustainable agriculture is particularly encouraged.

Plant Evolutionary Genomics
View Job Posting: We are looking for candidates who employ genomics-informed strategies to investigate how biological diversity and function evolve over time and how these changes are influenced by genomic shifts. A blend of computational, theoretical, experimental, and field-based approaches is preferred.

Qualifications
All candidates must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent, possess post-doctoral research experience, and demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching. Successful candidates are expected to establish an active research program, secure external funding, and engage with the scientific community at UNC-CH.
