Job Description

The Student Services Representative - Bilingual serves as part of a problem-solving resource team in an educational setting, primarily focusing on resolving issues that cannot be managed at the individual school level. The role involves significant engagement with parents and students to foster involvement and resolve problems in an educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Resolve conflicts between students, parents, and school staff.
• Assist school staff with issues that they cannot resolve independently.
• Mediate disputes and recommend procedural changes to improve operations.
• Engage in mediation sessions to increase parent and student satisfaction.
• Record and track complaints and issues to identify patterns and trends.
• Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.

Skills and Competencies Required

• Good understanding of school district policies and procedures.
• Strong mediation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
• Effective communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to analyze conflicts and recommend appropriate solutions.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

• Option A: Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of experience in conflict resolution or parent engagement.
• Option B: Associate’s degree + 3 years of relevant experience.
• Option C: 5 years of relevant experience.
• Option D: Any combination of the above qualifications.

Note: A valid driver’s license is required to meet transportation needs for the position.
