Job Summary
The Robot Operator will join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Fit and weld products to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints for proper welding using hand-held MIG torch or robotic welding equipment.
- Ensure welded parts meet blueprint requirements.
- Assist in various duties such as material handling, housekeeping, and safety committee activities.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
- At least 1 year of experience in a welding-related role (preferred).
- Ability to use measuring equipment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in reading shop drawings and welding basic products using GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding).
- Basic knowledge of welding symbols and concepts.
- Ability to set up a welding machine based on the Welding Procedure Specification for the job.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform intermittent bending, lifting, stooping, reaching, walking, and squatting.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
Compensation
- Hourly Pay Rate: $26 - $28 per hour.
