Position Overview:
The Ohio State University College of Medicine's Department of Neurology, Division of Neurogenetics, is seeking full-time tenure-track faculty members at any rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) to expand our dynamic research team. We are looking for researchers with a focus on neurogenetic disorders, particularly those applying molecular, cellular, genetic, or genomic methodologies to the study of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and other dementias. Candidates employing cutting-edge techniques like biomarker discovery, functional genomics, big data analysis, and machine learning are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting independent, innovative research in neurogenetics with an emphasis on translational applications.
  • Collaborating on research projects, publications, and grant proposals.
  • Teaching and mentoring graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and junior faculty.
  • Engaging with multidisciplinary teams in pursuit of therapeutic interventions for neurodegenerative diseases.
  • Contributing to the Division’s initiatives in community engagement, education, and research dissemination.

Qualifications:

  • PhD, MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • A proven record of research excellence and productivity in neurogenetics or related areas.
  • A commitment to mentoring and contributing to the educational mission of the university.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
