Description

Position: Classroom Teacher
Location: Hangzhou, China

Qualifications:

  • Must be fully credentialed or certified in your native country.
  • Preferred: Five or more years of exemplary classroom teaching experience in an IB World School, with IB training.

Supervised by: Division Principal

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Deliver day-to-day instructional excellence based on the General Learning Targets (GLTs) and the IB curriculum.
  • Prepare written unit plans and establish clear instructional objectives aligned with curriculum standards.
  • Provide constructive feedback to enhance student learning.
  • Actively support and promote the school’s philosophy, mission, and goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design, assessment, and implementation.
  • Maintain open communication with parents and students regarding progress.
  • Utilize assessment data to inform instruction and design interventions for student success.
  • Differentiate instruction to cater to individual learning styles and promote active engagement.
  • Participate in school-sponsored events and afterschool activities.
  • Attend meetings, professional development activities, and contribute to school growth.
  • Ensure the protection and maintenance of school equipment and materials.

Terms of Employment:

  • Faculty members must commit to two years of excellent service in their initial assignment.
  • Salary and work year to be established by the Board in accordance with local Chinese law and school policy.

Evaluation:

  • Conducted by the Building Principal or designated representative.
