Leidos is offering an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Human Health and Performance Contract (HHPC) team supporting NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. This position serves as the primary contact for the Crew Health Care System (CHeCS), managing the sustainment, resupply, and integration of flight hardware for the International Space Station (ISS) Program.

The role involves overseeing and leading the CHeCS components within the Environmental Health System (EHS) and Health Maintenance System (HMS). Responsibilities include project management, issue resolution, monthly cost and schedule reporting, procurement oversight, hardware and safety process development, risk assessment, and anomaly resolution. Additionally, the role will require coordination across multiple disciplines, including Quality, Bond, and Logistics.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage expectations and communications with engineering stakeholders, coordinating regular meetings with HHPC and JSC personnel to align on project milestones and delivery.
  • Develop and document detailed engineering projects for human spaceflight, including plans, schedules, requirements, testing, and validation.
  • Lead internal engineering meetings to maintain schedules, mitigate issues, and create client-friendly solutions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track budgets, milestones, and engineering deliverables to maintain project schedules.
  • Support proposal development, including task and milestone definitions and cost/schedule estimates.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality assurance plans and procedures.
  • Participate in ISO/AS9100 audits.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Project Management, or Science, with 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Experience managing spaceflight projects from initiation to completion.
  • Experience organizing technical reviews for life cycle milestones.
  • Customer-facing experience in a project management capacity.
  • Understanding of configuration management for documentation, hardware, and software.
  • Proven experience in procurement and vendor negotiations.
  • Experience in cost account management and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience supporting NASA programs.
  • Experience with Flight Hardware Development processes (SA-WI-014 and/or EA-WI-023).
  • Background in Human Systems Engineering, including human factors and product end-user design.
  • Proficiency in MS Project.

Additional Requirements:

  • US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency, with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
