About Reading Frontier:
Reading Frontier is an international education brand under YueCheng Education, specializing in promoting reading skills for students aged 4-12. The program uses an inquiry-based approach to help students become curious, independent learners. Through a personalized and explorative curriculum, Reading Frontier aims to deepen students’ understanding of themselves, their interests, and the world around them. The program features six thematic reading experiences: See the World, Travel through Time and Space, Understand Society, Explore Science and Technology, Enjoy Life, and Know Yourself. These themes are designed to stimulate students’ personal interests and develop their reading, thinking, and linguistic skills.
Role: English Reading Teacher
Reports to: English Reading Lead Teacher
Purpose of the Role:
The English Reading Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality reading instruction to students aged 3-14 in small groups. The teacher will implement inquiry-based and play-based learning strategies, assess student progress, and maintain effective communication with parents. The role also involves participating in professional development and social/marketing activities to promote the Reading Frontier program.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Curriculum Implementation:
Teach English reading curriculum to students aged 3-14 in small groups, following established unit and lesson plans.
Implement inquiry-based and play-based learning strategies to engage students and foster a love for reading.
Ensure curriculum and assessment are delivered according to program standards.
Assessment and Progress Tracking:
Conduct criterion-based formative and summative assessments.
Maintain accurate student progress files and regularly update parents on student development.
Classroom Management:
Maintain effective discipline in the classroom.
Ensure the safety and security of children at all times.
Professional Development and Collaboration:
Participate in training seminars to enhance teaching skills.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve program delivery.
Community Engagement:
Participate in social and marketing promotional activities to promote the Reading Frontier program.
Qualifications:
Education:
Native English speaker.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
Internationally recognized teaching certification.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in early childhood education.
Experience in inquiry-based and play-based learning.
Ability to meet the learning needs of students acquiring English as a second language.
