Position Summary

The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), in collaboration with its College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS), invites applications for a Professor-level faculty position in Healthcare and Biomedical Sciences. We are seeking distinguished researchers to spearhead transformative initiatives addressing pressing local, regional, and global health challenges.

The appointment aims to attract scholars with internationally recognized research profiles in emerging domains such as stem cell biology, artificial intelligence in healthcare, bioengineering, and precision medicine. Successful applicants will contribute significantly to the University’s strategic research agenda and national healthcare priorities.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Academic Credentials:
    • MD/PhD or PhD in biomedical or healthcare-related disciplines.
    • Demonstrated record of research excellence with a high-impact publication profile (h-index ? 40 on Scopus).
    • Strong citation count and clear evidence of global research impact.
  • Research Funding and Leadership:
    • Proven track record of securing competitive, external research grants.
    • Experience leading multidisciplinary and collaborative projects.
  • Graduate Teaching and Mentorship:
    • Substantial experience in teaching and supervising MSc and PhD students.
    • Evidence of mentees’ academic or professional success.
  • Scientific Leadership:
    • Leadership roles in major research programs, international collaborations, or academic conferences.
  • Recognition and Service:
    • Notable awards, invited keynote presentations, or editorial responsibilities.
    • Acknowledged as a leader in the field by academic peers.
  • Strategic Alignment:
    • Research agenda in alignment with the CMHS, UAEU’s mission, and UAE national research priorities.
  • Interpersonal Skills:
    • Excellent communication and the ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
