Description
UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Program Manager for the Human Research Protections Program (HRPP). This role is pivotal in managing, coordinating, and promoting human subject research while ensuring compliance with regulations. The Program Manager will operate with minimal supervision, directing program operations and exercising independent judgment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Management: Direct and evaluate HRPP operations, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of research practices.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies related to human subject research.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain working relationships with internal and external departments and agencies involved in research oversight.
- Policy Development: Recommend and develop new policies and procedures to enhance program activities and address emerging needs.
- Event Coordination: Plan and coordinate special events, conferences, and seminars. Present data and program information effectively.
- Internal Controls: Design and manage internal control systems to ensure operations are effective, efficient, and secure.
- Training & Development: Develop and provide educational programs for researchers and staff. Stay informed about regulatory, scientific, and technical advancements.
Experience and Education:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in science, healthcare administration, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of four years of experience in research administration or healthcare, with a strong preference for experience related to human subject research.
- Skills: Advanced proficiency in PC applications including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation, and database software.
