    The University of Sharjah (UoS) in the United Arab Emirates invites applications for the position of Dean of the College of Public Policy, starting in the Academic Year 2024-2025.

    COLLEGE OF PUBLIC POLICY PROFILE

    The College of Public Policy at UOS is the newest addition to the university's academic landscape. With a focus on interdisciplinary education, the college will offer bachelor's and master's degrees in international relations, political science, and public policy, along with a PhD program in public policy. Committed to academic excellence, the college aims to prepare graduates for leadership roles in a variety of fields.

    SCOPE OF WORK

    The Dean of the College of Public Policy will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic direction of the college. Reporting directly to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, the Dean will oversee all academic activities, including teaching, research, and strategic planning. Responsibilities include establishing educational policies, representing the college at conferences, managing the college budget, and fostering collaborations with external partners.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    The ideal candidate will hold a PhD from a recognized university, possess a distinguished record of teaching and research, and demonstrate leadership experience in higher education administration. Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic, along with strong communication skills and a commitment to diversity, are essential.
