Program Structure:
- The 2.5-year program mirrors the Master of Laws program for Chinese students, comprising a 1-year school curriculum and a 1.5-year independent research and thesis writing phase.
- All LL.M. courses are conducted in English, tailored specifically for international students.
- Courses are taught by regular faculty and experts from public and private practice.
- Each student is assigned an academic advisor to supervise research and LL.M. thesis writing.
LL.M. Application:
Applicant Eligibility:
- Non-Chinese citizen.
- Good physical and mental health.
- Outstanding academic performance and potential.
- Bachelor's degree for master program applicants. Master's degree for doctoral program applicants.
- Proficiency in Chinese and/or English.
Application Materials:
- Degree certificates (scanned files).
- Transcripts (scanned files). Master's program applicants submit undergraduate transcripts; doctoral program applicants submit both undergraduate and graduate transcripts.
- Proof of language proficiency (refer to Language Requirement for SJTU International Graduate Programs).
- Scanned copy of passport.
- Passport-size photo.
- Personal statement and study plan.
- Two letters of academic recommendation from scholars (associate professors or above) or senior professionals in a related academic field.
