 A postdoctoral fellow position is immediately available in the Department of Biology and Biochemistry, University of Houston, Houston, TX in the laboratory of Seema Khurana, PhD. The laboratory’s focus is on understanding defects in mucosal biology that contribute to inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer. The laboratory uses mouse and patient-derived intestinal organoids to perform these studies. We are looking for a candidate with experience in gastrointestinal research, organoid biology, use of human patient samples and/or confocal imaging. We are looking for highly-motivated individuals seeking to advance their research careers by publishing in high impact journals and playing a major role in the expansion of ongoing research in the laboratory.
