About the Role:
The Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) is seeking a dynamic Manager of Departmental Academic Operations and Administrative Services. This key role involves overseeing the administrative, financial, and operational aspects of the Department of Leadership, Higher, and Adult Education (LHAE) at OISE. Reporting to the Chair and Associate Chairs, the Manager will handle enrollment management, program planning, budget oversight, research support, and more. This position is crucial for ensuring effective resource management and academic priority implementation at one of North America’s leading faculties of education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the department’s administrative and financial operations, including enrollment management, program planning, and budget control.
- Oversee administrative employees, ensuring the infrastructure supports academic and administrative priorities.
- Participate in strategic initiatives and projects, providing advice based on data analysis and best practices.
- Develop and implement administrative procedures and protocols to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Education: University degree in Business, Economics, Financial Management, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a senior administrative role, ideally in a university setting. Proven experience with budget management, financial planning, and staff management. Knowledge of university policies and experience with research grant administration is essential.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Proficient in SAP-based Administrative Management Systems (AMS) or equivalent. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving and financial skills.
